Dear Colleagues,
I am honored to lead the Washington DC Dermatological Society with the new team, Dr. Neelam Khan our Vice-President, Dr. Rhett Kent our Secretary-Treasurer and Mr. John Garza as our dedicated and long-time administrator for the calendar year 2026-2027. It is my great pleasure to welcome new and returning members. I would also like to thank our outgoing president, Dr. Sara Brooks for all her hard work.
This year the academic institutions of DC will be focusing their efforts on hosting the regional Atlantic Dermatology Conference which will be held at the JW Marriott from April 30 through May 2. There will be no September meeting. INOVA will host the first DC Derm meeting of the year in-person on Saturday, October 24.
We will also be hosting our annual social event in November 2026. Our annual Resident Appreciation Dinner is planned for February 2027. The format for this is to be determined.
As we all know, membership dues are a critical component of our finances that sustain the operating costs of our society. We are pleased to report that we have not increased the membership fees this year, as I know we all have challenges in the current environment. We hope to continue to offer quality CME, as well as foster a tight-knit community for good value. The link to pay dues can be found on the membership page.
